More about this item:
Following the great success of Hammer's "She" (1965), Hammer endeavoured to find a sequel. Ursula Andress, star of "She" was presented with a script entitled "She, Goddess of Love" but turned it down. Several other titles were mooted including "Ayesha, Daughter of She" & in characteristic style, Chantrell was commissioned to produce some pre-production artwork.
The prototype here is composed mostly of original hand painted artwork: all of the "Ayesha Daughter Of.." & background, ie, approx 75% of the total. The photographic element is just the "SHE" title & the native warriors in the foreground, this being a photo of Chantrell's original 1965 "She" quad artwork (see the quad poster below for comparison - image courtesy of www.moviepostermem.com).
A rare & fascinating piece of Hammer memorabilia c' 1967 & although "only" an unused prototype, there is a lot of Chantrell original artwork here for your buck! It measures 21 1/2"x 28" overall.
